Schlage® announces LiNK system application for iPhone now available on Apple App Store.

Carmel, IN - Schlage®, a leader in security devices, today announced that its LiNK System application for iPhone is now available on the Apple App Store. Busy homeowners who want the ability to monitor and control access to their homes can now add an iPhone application that remotely controls the Schlage LiNK System — the first keypad door-lock system that uses wireless technology to notify a homeowner when someone enters their home and also connects to other home management accessories. The new iPhone application also lets homeowners remotely lock and unlock Schlage LiNK-equipped doors, check the status of door locks and communicate with home control devices from any location.

The addition of iPhone compatibility adds convenience for millions of consumers. Available for free download in the iTunes App Store, the Schlage LiNK application lets on-the-go homeowners lock and unlock doors, turn lights on and off and soon manage home thermostats and security cameras — all from the screen of the revolutionary iPhone.

Each member of the family can have a unique code, so you can get an e-mail or text message that indicates when family members have arrived home. Schlage LiNK deadbolts and locks eliminate the need to carry or circulate keys by providing keyless entry through a smartphone or a four-digit access code for the lock’s push-button interface. For less than 50 cents a day, busy families can enjoy greater control over their homes and property.

The new iPhone App was developed in collaboration with Crayon Interface. The company’s mobile technology and service offerings are combined with Schlage’s industry leading products — including Schlage-brand door locks and Trane-brand thermostats. With the addition of iPhone compatibility, the Schlage LiNK System’s mobile software now works with most new mobile phones.

Installation of the Schlage LiNK System is easy, requiring only the replacement of existing door locks and an authorization process of Schlage’s wireless “bridge” command center with the home computer network.
